Since the first studio party over a decade ago, Ideum’s annual event has become much anticipated among industry professionals, partners, and neighbors. This year’s gathering, held on the evening of May 7, was no exception. We welcomed visitors from around the state to enjoy an evening of local food and refreshments while getting hands-on with our latest projects.
This year, guests got to see brand new, unreleased work as well as revisit some of our favorite classic exhibits. New museum interactives included an augmented reality portrait station being produced as part of a new exhibit for the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, as well as some behind-the-scenes looks at designs for the upcoming orientation center at the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum. Visitors got an up-close look at some of our licensable software and tools, such as TouchStory, the new software builder for our Reader Rail Kiosk, EM Spectrum for the ultrawide 8K Pano, and the immersive Solar System Tour exhibit.
We also opened our exhibit fabrication studio for the evening. Just a short 5 minute shuttle ride away from our main campus, party guests got an in-person look at our new Physical Design Studio, located on the second floor of our fab shop. Our design and production teams gave thorough tours of both the production and design spaces, teaching visitors about our tools and process.
Thank you to everyone who attended the Spring Studio Party this year. We are grateful for the opportunity to share our work and meet with the incredible people that make the event so rewarding.
