Visual Effects Technician Intern

Internship

Ideum seeks a full-time Visual Effects Technician Intern to contribute to the development of immersive experiences for museums. This is a 60 to 90-day, paid internship, starting as soon as possible. We are looking for a detail-oriented, entry-level technician. We are particularly interested in someone with skills in audio production and editing. The intern will be part of Ideum’s Creative Services team, collaborating with designers, producers, and media systems specialists to craft engaging digital experiences. This in-person position is based at Ideum’s studio in Corrales, New Mexico (near Albuquerque and an hour from Santa Fe).

Exhibit Fabricator Intern

Internship

We seek a full-time Exhibit Fabricator Intern who can help build and install custom exhibit installations. The internship term will be 90 days, starting as soon as possible. We are looking for a detail-oriented, entry-level craftsperson who can help us create world-class exhibits and installations. The work is bespoke—every project is different and no two days are the same. Successful candidates will have some experience (1 to 2 years) working in a professional shop environment. This in-person position is at Ideum's studios in scenic Corrales, New Mexico (near Albuquerque and an hour from Santa Fe).

Senior Fabricator

Ideum seeks a full-time Senior Fabricator to design, develop, and build custom exhibits and installations. This role requires a highly skilled and detail-oriented craftsperson capable of producing museum-quality work while adapting to evolving project needs. The Senior Fabricator is key in bringing complex, interactive exhibits to life—integrating custom cabinetry, digital systems, and interactive elements into engaging visitor experiences. This is an on-site position at Ideum’s Fabrication Studio in Corrales, New Mexico.
