The Presenter touch screen display, when paired with our motorized stand, has become one of the most popular models in our catalogue, due in no small part to its versatility. With locking casters and an articulating stand that can raise, lower, and tilt the display, it is a unique offering among the rest of our touch table lineup. Over time, it has become a go-to solution for those looking for a dynamic and adaptable touch screen table.
As the next step in making the Presenter our most adaptable model yet, we’re excited to announce that we are nearing completion of testing for a battery-powered, rechargeable version of our motorized stands. This new option builds on the existing strength of the Presenter, adding untethered operation and opening the door to even more use cases where reliable power access can’t be guaranteed.
Initial testing was performed with the 55” +PLUS Presenter paired with a standard integrated computer. Even at maximum load, the system was able to operate fully on the battery for an average of 2 hours before requiring a recharge. The battery can be recharged to 80% capacity in just 45 minutes, and the system remains fully usable via wired power while the battery is recharging. These performance metrics are expected to remain consistent across our different 4K Presenter touch displays and integrated computer configurations.
This rechargeable motorized stand is the perfect solution for those looking to use an Ideum touch table or kiosk in environments with unpredictable power conditions, such as job sites, event spaces, and temporary installations. By operating on battery power, users can avoid the risk of hardware damage caused by poor power quality. It’s also a great fit for classroom settings, where freedom to move and reposition the system without being tethered to wall outlets can significantly improve usability and engagement. Lastly, we are assessing its viability as a new addition to our Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) line of products, which already includes the Drafting II with a range of inclusive accessories.
This new product is in the final stages of testing and will be ready to ship in late February. To learn more or to pre-order from our first production run, get in touch with our team, and we’ll be happy to send you more information.
