Ideum recently donated and delivered a 49” multitouch Pico coffee table to the UNM Children’s Hospital. The table, which includes a fully integrated computer system offering games and other diversions, is a popular model for waiting rooms, and its height makes it easier for children to fully interact with.
The UNM Children’s Hospital is the only hospital dedicated entirely to children in the state of New Mexico. As a part of the greater UNM Health System, they offer the most advanced pediatric specialty and primary care in the Southwest. The hospital requested the table in order to provide a much needed distraction to both parents and children who are spending time in the pediatric neurosurgery waiting room.
Ideum made the donation as a part of our Technology for our Community program, a local outreach initiative that formally began in summer of 2018 but was put on pause during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic. We are excited to revive the program, and to be able to once again share our technology with the community that has helped support Ideum for nearly two decades.
Past donations have been made to a variety of other New Mexico groups and agencies, such as schools (Atrisco Heritage Academy, Albuquerque Academy, Bernalillo High School), social justice organizations (New Mexico Center on Law and Poverty), youth and creative arts (Warehouse 508), and economic development (Albuquerque Economic Development).
If you would like to submit a request to be considered for a donation, please complete our online form or reach out directly to our sales group. Please note that the program is currently only available to organizations based in New Mexico. While Ideum donates products throughout the year, we can only do so as products become available.
