Our hardware is perhaps best known in museums and public spaces, where our touch tables and large displays are used to create exciting interactive and social experiences for visitors. In fact, creating the most compelling museum exhibits possible was our initial goal as we started developing this technology back in 2008. However, other fields have always shown strong interest in multitouch tables and displays and have been using our products in a wide variety of applications. This, of course, includes our many government clients and others who are helping fight the coronavirus directly or are considered essential services as they keep the nation running.
We are proud to support the government agencies, scientific institutions, municipalities, and first responders across the nation who rely on our hardware. In just the last few weeks, we’ve been working with the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Air Force, several national laboratories, police and fire departments, healthcare facilities, and utilities and other essential services. We’ve been very glad to learn about the ways our hardware is being used for situational awareness, scientific visualization, telepresence, and emergency response.
Ideum is continuing to prioritize government orders through the GSA system along with providing direct sales. In addition, we are prioritizing support and production for essential organizations while remaining open for other customers. We continue to produce our hardware and provide sales and support for all of our clients through this crisis. (During this time our software, exhibit design, and administrative staff are continuing to work remotely.)
At our campus, we have enacted a range of measures to ensure the safety of our employees, including social distancing guidelines for our hardware technicians and fabricators. We’ve also changed the way we ship our hardware to ensure that all of our units are fully disinfected before they go out, to eliminate the remote possibility of spreading the coronavirus. We appreciate the support of our partners around the world as our essential business continues to operate in these challenging times. Be safe—and if you need anything, please feel free to reach out to us.
