Ideum was excited to host our annual Summer Studio Party, inviting industry professionals, friends, and family to visit us in Corrales, New Mexico. Over 100 guests from around the country were in attendance, getting a firsthand look at new projects and taking behind-the-scenes tours of our studio and workshop.
While our last party was only a year ago, we had a wide range of new work to showcase. Guests learned about how our immune systems heal our bodies with the Defenders app for the Cincinnati Museum Center, experienced a mini version of the interactive exhibits for the Da Vinci Science Center, designed their own Triceratops, and ran mock CT scans of fossils with exhibits from Dueling Dinosaurs, learned about rodeo and professional bull riding with the PBR Match Up kiosk, and tested their wine knowledge on the soon-to-be-released Tasting Table featuring wines from our friends at VARA Winery. In addition to these projects, we showed some unreleased work for some of our upcoming installations and brought back some older favorites.
In addition to the exhibits and refreshments, we offered guided tours of the workshop where we build all of our touch tables. As part of the tour, guests were given an exclusive look at our patented manufacturing process, learned about Ideum’s own object recognition software, Tangible Engine, and got hands-on with our largest touch tables, the Colossus and the Pano.
We look forward to this event each year. We love to provide guests the opportunity to learn more about each project directly from those who had a hand in making them and enjoy forging new connections with clients, neighbors, and fellow design and exhibit professionals from around the country.
