Over the past year, Ideum has been working with the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum in Amarillo, Texas, on an exciting exhibit renovation project built to refresh the visitor experience and celebrate the legacy of the American Quarter Horse. The museum honors the people and horses that shaped the world’s most popular horse breed, preserving their stories through interactive exhibits, artifacts, and educational programming.
Our team recently completed the installation of new exhibits and audiovisual systems in the museum’s Grand Hall—an iconic space that welcomes visitors and sets the tone for the rest of the museum experience.
The museum is undergoing a five-phase renovation aimed at modernizing exhibits and creating more immersive experiences for visitors while preserving the rich legacy of the American Quarter Horse.
As part of this transformation, Ideum collaborated with the museum team to design and install a collection of new interpretive and media features that bring history and storytelling together in the Grand Hall.
The installation includes:
Together, these elements create a more engaging environment for both daily visitors and special events, including the museum’s annual Hall of Fame celebrations.
Ideum is excited to continue collaborating with the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum on the completion of Phase II. Opening this September, the new Orientation Center will introduce visitors to a 2,000-square-foot gallery exploring the origins of the American Quarter Horse and the history of the American Quarter Horse Association. The gallery will feature rich interactive experiences designed to welcome guests into the story of the breed and highlight the many ways they can become part of the American Quarter Horse family.
