The Ideum team is very excited to host our 2019 Winter Studio Party and showcase some of the engaging and innovative projects we’ve been working on.
Please join us in January to experience our latest immersive digital experiences and interactive exhibits. Guests will be invited to experience our multitouch products as well as our unique AV exhibits featured in the recently opened Exhibit Fabrication Studio.
Come experience our largest touch table, the Colossus, and take a virtual tour through New Orleans via our custom application designed for the Historic New Orleans Collection. This interactive application was built by our Creative Services team and invites guests to explore the city while unveiling its history and architectural wonders. Linked to a mobile app, visitors can take their self-curated walking tour with them and explore the French Quarter.
We will also offer guests the opportunity to experience our new smart tangible prototypes, which are equipped with an Arduino and support an accelerometer. Able to retrieve rotational data, these smart tangibles open a new level of functionality and a wide variety of experience for tangible objects. For example, not only will they work on a multitouch table but also when lifted off the table, as they communicate wirelessly with the touch display.
Our Prototyping & Usability Lab, located on our main campus, will be open to the public as well. There, we will premiere initial versions of two exciting large-scale exhibits on the human brain designed for the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium. Deep Dive into the Brain uses a massive projection to immerse visitors in a journey from the brain’s surface to the molecular elements that allow us to think. And the Brain Development Wall lets users explore how the brain grows and changes throughout our lifetimes.
In the Workshop, we will showcase a range of our recently redesigned products, including our elegant Pico smart coffee table, our rugged Platform II touch table, and the Portrait kiosk.
For the occasion, our state-of-the-art Exhibit Fabrication Studio, which opened earlier this year, will also be open to the public. Here, visitors will be invited to experience a unique exhibit designed for the The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame. The interactive exhibit invites visitors to design a range of objects, like boots and shirts, on a 65” Platform multitouch table and see their designs take life on the walls around them. Also in the Exhibit Fabrication Studio, guests will find two new exhibits designed for the Cayton Children’s Museum by Sharewell, which is moving to a new Santa Monica home in 2019. Jump In is a fun experience using a wall-mounted display which measures your height and how high you can jump. In Tune with Nature is a state-of-the-art projection recreating the wonders of nature. Invited to enter a small room, guests will enjoy an introspective and calming experience while being surrounded by butterflies, fireflies and other friendly critters.
If you are interested in joining us at the Studio Party to see our multitouch products and learn more about the innovative technologies behind our interactive experiences, please contact us for more details.
We look forward to seeing you here!
