Each year, the Digital Signage Experience (DSE) awards the DIZZIE Award to celebrate groundbreaking installations, campaigns, and exceptional individuals. Ideum won an award this year for our newest product: the Tasting Table + Wine Experience.

Ideum has been honored before at DSE. In 2019, before the conference (and many others) were interrupted by the pandemic, our Exploring Pueblo Pottery project won the top award in the Experiential Design and Planning category.

This year, the Tasting Table and Wine Experience won in the Restaurants, Bars, and Foodservice category. This unique product features a multitouch table specifically designed for wine tastings. With a base made out of steel and wood and an optically bonded multitouch display, the table is designed to fit into a multitude of tasting environments.

The Tasting Table comes bundled with customizable wine-tasting software, providing guests with a unique tasting experience. The software guides guests through a series of tasting tips, followed by an interactive tasting wheel, allowing guests to create their own flavor profile for the wine they are tasting.

A unique feature of the Wine Experience software is its ability to collect guests’ flavor profiles and share them with the winery. This creates a unique opportunity for wineries to collect data on how guests experience their wines.

The Tasting Table and Wine Experiences were designed to demystify and deepen the tasting experience. We are honored to be recognized by DSE for our efforts in developing this new and exciting product and we congratulate fellow winners of the DIZZIE awards this year. We appreciate the contributions of our partners at VARA and New Mexico Wine who have provided us with essential feedback as we’ve developed this interactive experience.
