McKenzie Fitz is an interdisciplinary artist and arts administrator with a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She also worked for the SAIC Galleries and the museum's Photography department to produce the Jacolby Satterwhite, New Work, SAIC Shows, Irving Penn, and In Your Face exhibitions. Before recently relocating to New Mexico, to pursue new beginnings and inspiration like many artists before her, she has lived in Mexico and Chicago. Her work has been published in a handful of magazines and displayed throughout several major cities.
McKenzie's background as a practicing artist shapes her approach to professional work, creating accessible spaces that foster connection and communication. Her studio practice spans a multitude of mediums including neon and mixed media, while her career has built a strong foundation in content production and brand storytelling.When she isn't working, you can find McKenzie exploring new experiences like local markets, national parks, or museums with her partner and cat.
