Gatis is an Experience Designer at Ideum. Gatis graduated from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota with a BFA in Graphic Design. He also holds an MFA in Graphic Design from Indiana University Bloomington. Before working at Ideum, Gatis worked as a freelance designer and illustrator with national and international clients. His freelance projects include branding, publication and interactive design for economic and educational institutions, installations, and illustrations for technical, instructional and literary projects. He has also taught art and graphic design at NMSU and IAIA.

Gatis is interested in the intersection of art and design. He enjoys working with digital and analog tools to tell stories. Beyond design work, he likes to travel, garden, paint murals and draw.
