David Martinez is an Exhibit Fabricator I at Ideum. He graduated from the University of New Mexico with a BA in Interdisciplinary Arts with a Minor in Studio Art. His artistic practice spans sculpture, painting, ceramics, and digital media, and he has had work shown at local venues such as the Harwood Art Center and the Sanitary Tortilla Factory. With his two main driving passions being art and technology, he is currently furthering his education in the latter through his pursuit of multiple CompTIA IT certifications, as well as an Associate's degree through CNM. Despite the shift in educational focus, he is still actively involved in the arts, and feels a deep gratitude for the opportunities he's had to not only explore and create in his personal life, but in many of his employment settings as well.

In his free time he enjoys working on projects, whether it be problem solving a new painting, or rebuilding a PC from spare parts. He also enjoys gaming, religiously playing Magic the Gathering, and spending time with his partner, their big fluffy dog, two cats, and four axolotls.
