Tangible Engine was the first object recognition software available that worked with projected capacitive touch displays. In the 7 years since it's introduction, it has undergone a number of changes and improvements. The current version (2.8) extends the capabilities of the prior versions and has improved performance as well. Over the years, we have had numerous requests for a GUI (graphic user interface) authoring solution. Recently, we have revisited this and we now have an Alpha version of the Tangible Engine Rapid Prototyping Tool.
Available for free for current Tangible Engine license holders, this application allows you to create object recognition experiences on Ideum touch tables. Tangible Engine Rapid Prototype Tool allows you to create tangible experiences with up to 9 distinct objects. Its no-code interface allows you to upload graphics, video, text, and create menus with dynamic backgrounds. In short, you can create simple, yet dynamic interactive experiences.
