After five years as Director of Exhibition Experience at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, Becca Shreckenghast has moved west to become part of Ideum’s Creative Services team. Becca joins us with an extensive background in museum studies and industrial design, making her a great fit for Ideum’s growing capacity to design multifaceted exhibitions with complex infrastructure and space design requirements.

In addition, Becca brings considerable project management experience to the Ideum table, having worked on large-scale, story-driven installations with over thirty clients, including the New York Historical Society, the North Carolina Museum of Nature and Science, the National Constitution Center, and the Museum of International Folk Art.

Beyond her impressive professional credentials, Becca is always up for discussing the future of museums and interpretation over lunch or at the water cooler. Her dedication to continued learning and innovation with regard to storytelling, inclusivity, and accessibility is a reflection of her growth mindset.
