Ideum is pleased to participate in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Discovery Festival at the Albuquerque Convention Center for our third consecutive year. BBBS of Central New Mexico hosts the annual STEAM festival, and approximately 2,000 local students are expected to attend this year.
Students will learn about science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics by visiting booths with hands-on activities. Ideum’s booth will boast multiple multitouch table applications and opportunities for students to meet Ideum professionals working in building media systems and creating engaging digital experiences.
Ideum is an ideal partner for the Discovery Festival because our team’s skills span all of the STEAM disciplines. For example, Ideum will prototype an application at the event aimed at improving outreach techniques for some of the most misunderstood animals on the planet: arachnids, reptiles, and amphibians. To build the prototype, Ideum enlisted staff with skills in biology, design, photography, software development, mathematics, and 3D printing.
At the booth, students will be able to use Ideum hardware and software to play educational games and speak with Ideum staff about careers and training.
