For twenty five years, Ideum has produced interpretive exhibits that inspire wonder, awe, and surprise. From our studios in Corrales, New Mexico, we craft meaningful visitor experiences that explore science, art, history and culture for clients around the world.

Our multitouch tables, kiosks, and touch walls are practical implementations of recent advances in interactive technologies. Our hardware products are built for use in social environments where they encourage interaction and collaboration. We’ve been designing touch tables since 2008 and have sold our interactive products in more than 45 countries worldwide.

‍Our expertise includes exhibit design, UI/UX design, software programming, exhibit fabrication, hardware technologies integration, video production, animation, user research and evaluation, museum planning, and more.
We are committed to creating meaningful, memorable experiences, through design and engineering, that innovate our field and benefit our communities.
Our expertise includes exhibit design, software and hardware design, HCI, UI/UX design, programming, audio/ visual systems, fabrication, video and photography, research and user evaluation, and more.

Unique & Multifaceted

We stand out from other exhibit design firms because we understand design and production from all angles. We don’t only design custom exhibits, we also build unique, turnkey hardware products, develop interactive software, fabricate, integrate, test, and install. Our experience in these realms makes us a better partner when collaborating with other design, software, AV, and fabrication companies.

As seen in well over 100 interactive projects, our work spans informal and formal education, gaming, art, linear media, interactive media, interpretation, entertainment, and marketing.

Exhibit Design, Industrial Design & Product Development

Our Creative Services group is responsible for thoughtfully designing custom exhibits and exhibitions. We work closely with our clients and partners to take projects from concept to schematic design to final design and build.

Our Industrial Design group designs and revises our touch tables, displays, and other devices. We are dedicated to investigating new input devices, electronics, sensors, software packages, and other emerging products and technologies.

We are leaders in the field of tangible object recognition for surface computing. We have been developing Tangible Engine software since 2016. We are also strongly committed to making interactive exhibits more accessible and have published white papers on ADA accessibility.
