Summary

We seek an energetic, versatile, and prolific writer to help work on a variety of educational, technical and promotional projects. Our company is diverse, we work with top museums, well known technology companies, and we make our own innovative multitouch tables and software.

We are looking for a self-starter who can work independently to research, write and edit web content, technical manuals and marketing materials. The Content Specialist needs to be able work with different teams at Ideum on a variety of projects. The position requires an individual who takes ownership of projects, sees them through, and sticks to deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a passion for history, science, art and new technology.

The candidate should have demonstrated experience with social media such as: Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc.

Multitouch & HCI Programmer

Summary

We seek a developer with demonstrated programming experience and other complimentary skills to join our development team. We are a team of programmers, and UI / UX developers, looking for other creative developers to join in the fun. We work on research projects, custom museum installations with well known institutions, and large development projects with some of the world's biggest tech companies.

Along with software, we develop integrated multitouch systems that include some of our hardware components. For this position, we are looking for an intermediate to well-experienced programmer who is not afraid to learn new things. As our company continues to expand, we are looking for a self-starter who can contribute right away, but who is also willing to learn new things.

In-Depth Qualifications

Beyond technical skills, we are looking for someone with strong conceptual and information design skills, and organizational ability. Experience with hardware, systems engineering is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated experience programming with C, C++, C#, .NET, Java or Python
  • Ability to work in a team environment including the willingness to share knowledge
  • Experience with mobile authoring a plus
  • Experience with Open GL or other graphics frameworks a plus
  • Experience with version control software
  • Flash and ActionScript experience a plus
  • Hardware and systems engineering experience a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with CSS, XML and JavaScript a plus
  • A strong interest in science, art, history, and social issues
  • Experience in the museum or non-profit world a plus
  • College degree a plus, not a requirement

This is a full-time position (40 hours) on-site in Corrales, New Mexico. The position includes full health benefits 100% (after 90 days), Dental insurance, plus long-term and short-term disability and life insurance.
