Summary

We seek an experienced designer preferably with User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) experience. We are looking for someone with an excellent portfolio and a range of styles. You might design interactive exhibits, websites, or mobile apps or you may work on design interface for some of our software products.

Experience working with clients and organizing projects is also very helpful. We are a fast-paced and rapidly growing firm with many areas of interest; so a diverse skill set is helpful.

Qualifications

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong conceptual and information design skills, and organizational ability. Experience with software, programming, hardware and systems engineering is a plus, but not a requirement.

Multitouch & HCI Programmer

Ideum develops multitouch and HCI software frameworks and products such as GestureWorks & GestureWorks Gameplay (www.gestureworks.com) and Open Exhibits (www.openexhibits.org ). We also create custom multitouch and HCI exhibits for museums, non-profit organizations, and socially responsible companies.

We are an internationally recognized interactive design firm located in Corrales, New Mexico (near Albuquerque, an hour from Santa Fe).

Summary

We seek a developer with demonstrated programming experience and other complimentary skills to join our development team. We are a team of programmers, and UI / UX developers, looking for other creative developers to join in the fun. We work on research projects, custom museum installations with well known institutions, and large development projects with some of the world's biggest tech companies.

Along with software, we develop integrated multitouch systems that include some of our hardware components. For this position, we are looking for an intermediate to well-experienced programmer who is not afraid to learn new things. As our company continues to expand, we are looking for a self-starter who can contribute right away, but who is also willing to learn new things.

In-Depth Qualifications

Beyond technical skills, we are looking for someone with strong conceptual and information design skills, and organizational ability. Experience with hardware, systems engineering is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated experience programming with C, C++, C#, .NET, Java or Python

The Position

We seek a part-time to full-time Exhibit Tech & Support Intern who can help us assemble and fabricate computer-based multitouch tables (like the one pictured above) and design and develop custom exhibit installations. The job would also entail helping maintain the shop area, managing inventory, and others tasks. We also need help with technical documentation, email and phone support, so strong writing and communication skills are required. The position is a three-month internship, but could lead to a full-time position. We don't expect applicants to have museum or exhibit experience, but we are looking for someone with strong writing and communication skills and computer experience. Shop skills, electrical or electronics experience is also helpful. We're a small company, so we need someone who is flexible and has a diverse skill set.

We are an internationally recognized hardware, software, and interactive design firm located in Corrales, New Mexico (on the border with Albuquerque).

The Position

We seek a full-time Production Developer who can help us with ongoing software exhibits and web development. We are looking for someone with a diverse set of skills that can help us in a variety of ways.

In-Depth Qualifications

Applicants should have the following qualifications:
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills

  • Illustration or motion graphic skills
  • Experience with CSS and XHTML
