We seek a developer with demonstrated programming experience and other complimentary skills to join our development team. We are a team of programmers, UI /UX developers, designers, hardware engineers, who are looking for other creative developers to join in the fun. We work on research projects, custom museum projects, and development projects with some of the world’s biggest tech companies. Along with software, we develop integrated multitouch systems that include some of our hardware components.

For this position, we are looking for an intermediate to well-experienced programmer who is not afraid to learn new things. As our company continues to expand, we are looking for a self-starter who can contribute right away, but who is also willing to learn on the fly. General Qualifications

The Position

We seek a full-time Exhibit Technician who can help our group that assembles and supports multitouch tables and custom exhibit installations. We are looking for a detail-oriented, precision craftsman who can help us build the highest quality integrated computer systems, such as our multitouch tables. Candidates must have PC systems experience, experience working with basic tools, and excellent written and verbal communications skills.

General Qualifications

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to help with all aspects of our multitouch table production. Responsibilities will include table building and support, tracking inventory, ordering, and logistics; the candidate must have strong organizational skills.

We also need help with technical documentation and support (email and phone), so strong writing and communication skills are required. We don’t expect applicants to have museum or exhibit experience, but we are looking for someone with prior experience with ordering, inventory and computer experience. We need someone who is flexible and has a diverse skill set.

We seek a full-time Industrial Designer who can help us design custom exhibits and interactive multitouch tables and hardened displays.

General Qualifications

We seek a highly motivated self-starter who can help with all aspects of the process. Industrial design skills and experience with 3D software like Solid Works and Rhino software are essential. The ideal candidate would be familiar with computers and electronic components.

Typical Responsibilities

  • Support the creative process through facilitation of, and participation in, concept generation sessions and other creative discussions to develop design concepts for various projects.

We seek an energetic, versatile, project coordinator with demonstrated technical writing and editorial skills to help work on and organize our product’s spec sheets, manuals, hardware-related blog posts, and Web listings. We design and produce multitouch tables and touch walls and sell these innovate products worldwide. We are looking for a technically-minded individual who is detail-oriented and can work with our existing sales, support, photography & video, and Web group to proactively gather updated hardware information, guide the production of new media, and to ensure that documentation for our hardware is up-to-date, accurate, and descriptive.

We are looking for a self-starter who can do their own research, writing, and editing. The position requires an individual who will take ownership of projects, see them through, and stick to deadlines. Past experience with technical documentation or product support would be very helpful.

User Interface and Software Tester Intern

Summary

Compensation: The intern position pays $15-$18 an hour depending on experience.
Position Type: This is a full-time, three-month (90 days) fixed term paid internship position (40 hours/week).
Location: On-site in Corrales, New Mexico.

The Position

We seek a full-time User Interface and Software Tester Intern to work with our Creative Services and our GestureWorks (www.gestureworks.com) teams. The User Interface and Software Tester Intern will be a self-starter who will test Ideum applications in various phases of development. The testing may involve multitouch screens, motion recognition, voice recognition, and other emerging technologies. We will work with the candidate to help learn (tune and devise) the proper testing systems.

The candidate needs to be passionate about new technology and about this position. We are looking for someone who is technologically proficient and has a deep knowledge of PC systems in particular. Visual design and/or programming experience are major pluses. The candidate will need to be able to contribute to technical documentation, customer support, and social media, so strong written and verbal and communication skills are required. In addition, the position does require some repetitive work; we need a candidate that is comfortable with repetition and is extremely thorough.

This position will spend 30 hours/wk performing the user interface and software testing as described above. Tasks for the remaining 10 hours/wk will be determined by the qualifications and interests of the internship candidate. Those 10 hours may be spent programming, working on electronics in the shop, designing applications or marketing materials, writing, 3D modeling and/or animating, shooting and/or editing video and audio, or working on other aspects of Ideum’s varied hardware and software production.

We are currently hiring for one internship position for the time period of mid-January through mid-April.
